Last night we had a guy from Bell out to fix some wiring issues in our house so we could get our internet working. At first i was really super impressed with the guy (his name was Paul), extremely well mannered & considerate. He seemed to know what he was doing too. After about an hour he says he thinks he’s fixed the problem, so we go upstairs to check the modem. He kind of seemed to be checking my house out, and then he says “Are you a businessman Dave?”, i replied “sort of” or something along those lines, and then he proceeds to explain “Dave, usually Bell charges $100 for these wiring jobs. But i don’t want to write you up an invoice, so in exchange for not invoicing you i was wondering if I could get a tip”. Lolwut? So that’s why you were being such a ass kisser before. I didn’t end up tipping him as we didn’t have any cash, but what would you do in that situation?!
